An outfitter who sets up whitewater rafting and overland expeditions in the Four Corners area of the southwestern United States. Also organizes 1 or 2 treks in Nepal every year.

While primarily a retail outlet for adventure clothing and gear, Buffalo Peak Outfitters is now also organizing adventures in the southeastern US and treks in Nepal. Buffalo Peak Outfitters organized an all women's trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp in the spring of 2001.

When Furi used to come to the States, we are one of the places he visited. We spent time together climbing Colorado's mountains, planning future adventures and setting up lectures and slide shows for him. In between we just hung out with one of the nicest people on Earth, Ang Furi Sherpa. Because of the pace of American life, we found that it was very hard to be as hospitable with Furi in America as Furi was with us in Nepal. To go sightseeing, trekking or climbing with this man was an honor and a privilege. He was a welcome breath of fresh air for us and we miss visiting with him every year.

Gerry Roach was the second man to climb all of the Seven Summits. He's done a pretty fair job of climbing most of the highest mountains on Earth. He's climbed just about all of them in Colorado. Also, in Colorado he's quite famous for his climbing guidebooks: Colorado's Fourteeners and Colorado's Thirteeners (done with his wife Jennifer). He has a website to show off some of his photos and sell some of his books.
